Create This Folding Flower Greeting Card!

Here is a great card idea for Mother's Day -- or hang the card from a neighbor's doorknob for May Day.

It's simple to make using our free template!

Cut from two-sided card stock, the flower folds up into a pretty little hexagon.

The template includes patterns for the folded flower, plus two sizes of hexagon, so you can create a little note card to go inside the flower. There are also two sizes of flower templates to decorate your card. Get creative!

I turned mine into a little hanging ornament, with the addition of some embroidery floss.

After adding the hanging ornament to the card, I folded it up.

Then, I wrapped floss around the card. You can use baker's twine, if you like.

What mom wouldn't love to receive a pretty card like this?

This is a great project for using up small scraps, plus, the large flower was designed to fit on a 6x6 piece of scrapbook paper. You can use two-sided card stock that will fit in your printer and print the template directly onto it, or print the pattern onto office paper to trace.
