Hello, Welcome to House Revivals!
My name is Amanda, and I am the mother of three wonderful children, and the wife of my college sweetheart. I love creating, especially taking seemingly un-redeemable cast-offs and finding beauty in them.
I believe we are all creative, having been made
in the image of the One who created all things.
My degree is in interior design, but my work is informed by my experiences as wife, taxi driver, pet owner, accountant, nurse, laundress, seamstress, cook, hostess, and general all-around MOM.
Now days, when I'm not cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, paying bills, walking the dog, or working on our new old beach house remodel, you will find me designing, drafting, sketching, thrifting, crafting, blogging, and poking my head into attics and crawl spaces. My work is primarily in the fields of residential, kitchen, and light commercial design.
My heart as a designer is for real families, with real budgets and busy schedules.
The purpose of this blog is to Revive the way we live in our Houses -- by celebrating creativity, sharing design and remodeling ideas and tips, crafting a little (okay, A LOT), occasionally ranting and waxing philosophical, laughing at ourselves, and always having fun!
